Dear Agile Enthusiasts,

Thank you for trusting AgileTest as your test management platform in Jira. Your support empowers us to continuously improve and customize our tool to your project preferences.

We’re writing to inform you about an update to our pricing plan, which will take effect at the beginning of January 2025. Please stay tuned for more details, which will be shared through an in-app banner and a blog post on our website as soon as it is released. While pricing changes are never easy, we want to provide full transparency about why this adjustment is necessary and how it will help us better serve you.

Why Are We Updating Our Pricing

At AgileTest, it is our top priority to deliver a platform that supports your needs of testing, Here’s what’s driving this change:

  1. New Development

Your subscription fuels our efforts to develop many new features, and advance existing capabilities that make AgileTest capable for your testing needs.

AgileTest’s new Test Automation feature seamlessly integrates automated tests into your test management process. It allows you to import test results from frameworks such as JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, xUnit, Cucumber, Behave, and Robot Framework, or trigger remote builds using CI/CD tools like Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins. These results are automatically linked to Jira test cases, updating their test run status effortlessly.

In this release, we’re making changes to the AgileTest user interface to make it easier to use and more straightforward. These updates aim to help you navigate the platform and complete testing with less effort.

  1. Scaling Infrastructure

As AgileTest grows to support teams of all sizes, we are upgrading our infrastructure to ensure smooth performance and reliability for everyone—from small teams to large enterprises.

What does this mean for you?

  • AgileTest will transition to become a paid app in Quarter 1, 2025. The exact date will be announced through an in-app banner and our website blog, so stay tuned for further details.
  • For detailed pricing, please view the below images and information.

We are confident these adjustments are competitive and enable our team to deliver exceptional value to your testing journey.

Pricing Questions You Might Have

1.  How will this impact my current subscription?

All current and latest features, including Test Automation, are included in AgileTest’s paid version. When the transition to our paid model begins, all users will have access to a 1-month trial to explore AgileTest’s features.

  • After the 1-month trial, choose a payment plan to continue using AgileTest.
  • After that, free access will be restricted in compliance with Atlassian’s policy.

If you don’t subscribe right away, don’t worry—your data will remain safe and unaltered. You can regain access to your data anytime by subscribing.

2. I only want specific users to use the app? How do I pay per user?

  • AgileTest strictly follows Jira pricing model so Atlassian Server products (AgileTest included) follow a tiered pricing model, where your cost is based on the number of users. Each pricing tier covers a specific range of users, so if you exceed the limit of your current tier by even one user, your subscription will move to the next pricing level.
  • For example, if you have 300-user Jira account, with 225 active users, in which only 10 people who would be using AgileTest, your license price will be calculated based on all 225 users.

3. Which is more cost-effective: the monthly or annual plan?

  • Monthly Plan: Follows a tiered system, meaning different groups of users are charged at different rates. Instead of one flat price per user, the cost adds up as you move through tiers. The Monthly Plan is flexible if your team size changes often, but it can add up over time.
  • Annual Plan: Offers a straightforward structure. Instead of calculating by individual user count, it assigns a flat rate based on the user tier that your total users fall into. The Annual Plan saves money for some team sizes and makes budgeting easier with one upfront cost.

4. How do I know if the app fits my criteria?

  • After 1-month trial, AgileTest remains free for teams with 10 or fewer active users in your Jira instance,
  • We also offer a 30-day free trial, giving your team ample time to explore the app and determine if it meets your needs.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support. Thank you for being a part of the AgileTest community.

Best regards,

AgileTest Team.
