AgileTest / Cross-project test management

Test the whole release, not one project at a time

Bring requirements from other Jira projects into your testing, plan across projects, and log defects where each team works.

WHY TEAMS SWITCH

Releases cross projects. Testing usually doesn't.

One release, many projects
Web, API and mobile teams each plan in their own Jira project.
Requirements get copied
QA duplicates stories by hand just to test them in one place.
Coverage stops at the border
Each project shows its own tests, not the release as a whole.
Defects are scattered
Bugs land in different projects, so impact is hard to see.
CAPABILITIES

Test across projects without copying a single story

Requirements stay in the project that owns them. AgileTest brings them into your testing.

Map other projects
Map other Jira projects and pick which work types become requirements.
Plans across projects
Build one Test Plan or Execution with test cases from several projects.
Traceability across projects
Link tests to mapped requirements so they count in coverage reports.
Defects in the right project
When a test fails, log the defect in the dev team’s own Jira project.
Defects by project
Filter the Defect Summary report by project to see where bugs land.
Explore any issue
Link issues from any project to a Test Session and start exploring.

UNDER THE HOOD

How mapped requirements behave

They work like your own requirements, without leaving their home project.

Stay in their home project

Nothing is copied. Each requirement keeps its own key and project.

Only the types you choose

Only work items of the selected work types become requirements.

Traceability kept

Links between requirements, tests and results carry across projects.

Pick what counts

Exclude requirements from coverage when they shouldn't move the numbers.

Defects where devs work

Log defects in the project that owns the fix, then filter reports by project.

Cloud and Data Center

Set up by a project or Jira admin, on Jira Cloud and Data Center.
